The Values at the Heart of VBS
This week is more than entertainment — it is an invitation for children to imagine a better world and to recognize their role in helping build it.
Sustainable
We encourage children to care for the earth and its creatures, seeing creation as a gift worthy of love and protection.
Peaceful
Heroes help build peace. Dayspring invites children to practice kindness, courage, and peacemaking in the way of Jesus.
Just
We help kids explore what it means to stand up for what is right and seek fairness because every person is worthy of dignity, fairness, and care.
Compassionate
Compassion is a real superpower. We encourage children to notice the needs of others and respond with empathy, mercy, and love.
Inclusive
Every child belongs here. Dayspring celebrates that heroes come in all ages, backgrounds, and personalities, and everyone has gifts to share.
The Daily Rhythm
Every morning is designed to be energetic, thoughtful, creative, and full of joy.
Daily Schedule • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Superpowers aren’t just for the movies.
We want children to leave this week encouraged, inspired, and grounded in the truth that they can make a difference.
Children Need Hope-Filled Role Models
By connecting beloved fictional heroes with real-life leaders, children gain a broader vision of courage, leadership, and service.
Faith Can Shape the World for Good
By learning from the teachings and example of Jesus, kids discover how faith can guide them to show kindness, courage, and compassion in the world around them.
Every Child Has a Calling
We aim to show every child that no matter who they are, or how old they are, they have the power to be a hero in their own community and beyond.
