This year has been hard for all of us in one way or another.
Some have lost loved ones.
Some have lost their jobs or have retired.
Some are experiencing health concerns in themselves or loved ones.
Some have moved from one familiar place to another.
Some have lost hope because of broken relationships.
Some are weary because of too much negativity in our world.
We all feel lost in one way or another at some point in this season.
We want to acknowledge that the holidays can be difficult. We hope and pray this year will be filled with joy and gladness. However, some of our days also may be filled with despair or loneliness or tiredness.
The Longest Night service offers us a new way to look upon our times of emptiness and sorrow. We will be reminded that we have the promise of God’s everlasting love in the birth of the Christ Child. Our God will never forsake us even in challenging times. There is hope and joy even in our weariness.
Please join us for the Longest Night service to be held at Dayspring Tempe on Sunday, December 15, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Our souls and spirits will be renewed during this hour of Music, Scripture, Meditation, and Silence.
