Order your poinsettias by December 16!

We are planning the annual church Thanksgiving food drive on November 21. All collected food and turkeys will be donated to the United Food Bank in Mesa.  We will have a refrigerated truck to collect frozen turkeys and non-perishable food items, including canned beans, peanut butter, pasta, canned meats, canned fruits and veggies, and rice.  We also accept cash donations that will also be donated to United Food Bank so they can purchase fresh produce, meat, and dairy.

October was a busy month in Children’s Ministry. Children began the month by working on welcome cards to be given to refugee children when they arrive in Phoenix. We have been studying stories of the old testament in Sunday school and in BeTween we are working on rebuilding our group dynamic and creating a home base for their adventures this year.

Finally, we are looking for Sunday school teachers to help lead and assist in classes in November, January, and March.  If you are able to help out, even just for a couple of Sundays, please reach out.  Additionally, we are looking for parents and church members who are interested in serving on the Dayspring Children’s Council.  Join the Children’s Ministry Leadership team and help guide the direction of our ministry programming for the future.  If you are interested, please email Emily.

Thanks,
Emily Slater, Children’s Ministries Coordinator
