It has been an exciting summer in Children’s Ministry as we have begun welcoming back our children.  We had so much fun this summer with our Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School, where participants learned to trust in Jesus to get us through the challenges of life.

Step Up Sunday is August 8th.  On this day our regular Sunday school classes will resume during the 9:00 in person services. Children in Pre-K (4 years old) – Kindergarten will continue to explore the stories of the bible in a hands-on curriculum that will help them make the stories their own.  The 1st–3rd grade class will continue with the Godly Play Curriculum where they explore sacred stories and liturgical traditions through self-guided discovery.  Our 4th–6th graders will revisit familiar bible stories with a focus on how to make sense of them in our lives today.  We are still looking for teachers to lead and assist in our Sunday school classes this year.  Even if you are only able to help a couple weeks throughout the year, we would love to have you on board.  It takes the whole Dayspring community to nurture our children’s faith!  If you are interested or would like more information, email

Attention all Children and Youth Families, join us on Step Up Sunday, August 8th, for back-to-school Sno-Cones (to-go), sponsored by Children’s and Youth Ministries.  Take this chance to find out more about Children’s and Youth programming for this school year and to make sure we have your contact info to keep you informed about our ongoing programming.

BeTween, a service and fellowship ministry for children in 4th-6th grade, will start up again in September.  We are looking for parent/adults/youth to volunteer to lead or co-lead different Wednesday evenings throughout the year.  If you are interested in helping out, please email

Save the Date:  Bible Sunday will be Sunday September 19th for all third graders to receive their Bibles and any children in 4th grade or above who have not received one in the past.  Please email for more information or to register your child to be presented with a Bible on Bible Sunday.
